The School & University Internet Awards were established in 1999 with the aim of advancing Ireland's position as a leading information technology
society by widening the use of the Internet amongst the youth of Ireland. Based in Dublin, Ireland, the Awards draw their support from top Internet
industry practitioners and other opinion leaders. Former judges of the SUIA awards include the leaders in the Irish technology industry such as
entrepreneur Denis O'Brien, Chris Horn, Chief Executive of Iona Technologies, Fran Rooney, Chief Executive, Baltimore and William Burgess of IBM.
